Yoga for children is fun!
Should children do yoga?
Children love to imitate animals or objects in their environment, along with learning new ways to develop deep, healthy breathing. Children naturally imitate things around them and these exercises stimulate their imaginations along with enhancing physical and neurological skills.
Poses teach children how to stretch and strengthen every part of their body and practicing yoga builds a strong foundation for children to grow from, in turn this helps a child to become self-assured, clear thinking, responsible people in the world.
Yoga teaches flexibility of both the mind and body. Staying flexible mentally by opening the mind fosters positive thinking and motivation to learn new things. The balance poses enhance concentration skills, which require focus and clarity of mind. These skills enable children to learn more easily both in and outside of school and children also feel the benefit during sports and other physical activities!
Yoga is designed to keep the internal organs healthy along with strengthening muscles, bones and increasing flexibility of joints, Tendons and ligaments.
